2. What data we process

  • Data you provide through the Contact form (first name, last name, phone, email, message) and the “Request a quote” form (contact details, products and specifications requested, any notes), or when you write to us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
  • Browsing data: the systems that run the website automatically collect certain technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time of the request), which are necessary for the operation and security of the site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: for details, please see the Cookie Policy.

3. Why we process data and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your requests for information and preparing quotes: the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Managing any business relationship (orders, invoicing, tax and accounting obligations): performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Protecting the website and forms from spam and abuse, including through Google reCAPTCHA on the Contact page: the Controller’s legitimate interest in the security of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Anonymous, aggregated visitor statistics through Google Analytics: only with your consent, given via the cookie banner and revocable at any time (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Providing data in the forms is optional, but without the fields marked as mandatory we cannot reply to your request. We do not send newsletters or promotional messages and we do not carry out profiling.

4. How long we keep data

  • Requests for information and quotes not followed by an order: for as long as needed to handle the request, and in any case no longer than 24 months.
  • Data relating to orders and invoices: for 10 years, as required by tax law.
  • Google Analytics statistical data: for the retention period set in the Google Analytics account.

5. Who data may be shared with

Data is processed by the Controller and may be processed on its behalf, solely for the purposes stated, by service providers acting as data processors, in particular:

  • Aruba S.p.A. – website hosting and email service (servers in Italy);
  • Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC – Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (only with consent) and Google reCAPTCHA (Contact page);
  • consultants and professionals (e.g. accountant) for administrative and tax obligations.

Data is not disclosed or sold to third parties. The WhatsApp button on the site is simply a link: if you use it, the conversation takes place in the WhatsApp app (Meta), under that service’s privacy policy.

6. Transfers of data outside the European Union

Using Google services may involve transferring data to the United States. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised as adequate by the European Commission, and applies the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission.

7. Your rights

You may at any time ask the Controller for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal; for cookies, you can do so via the “Cookie Preferences” link at the bottom of every page.

To exercise your rights, write to info@salab.it or to the certified email address (PEC) salab@arubapec.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
